..::Feeling Artsy Fartsy::..

My Fourth Artwork:-

Just another...

Somewhere there's someone
who dreams of your smile,
and finds in your presence
that life is worth while,
So when you are lonely,
Remember this is true-
Somebody, somewhere is
Thinking of you.

..Work..

It has been a wonderful week...Managed to sleep early most of the nights..Went to the gym and it felt great - tho knackered and achy...Managed to finish my work that was due this week!!! but.. Sigh..

Today...

There's a new format for my monthly report and I haven't even finish my previous one:-

a. wish that I could delegate my work...
b. But then..I'll have to spend more time explaining
c. Ahh... Forget about it
d. I just do it myself

So, I continue working, and working, and working. Then when another unexpected to-do item comes along, I have to add that on top of my already-long list of items I still need to do. What happens then? Get crushed under the workload (a.k.a. burnout)

AND....Why Fridays!!! All the time... Ugh... Just want to rant!

Thank you for taking the time to care, love uncondiontionally and touch my life in precious ways. Mom... I love you so very much!! Happy Mother's Day.

..::Women::..

Women base friendships on feelings, there’s a unique charm of having female friends. They can make you feel at the top of the world and really pamper you. Yes yes… we women are prone to mood swings – we can be very stubborn, cranky, whiny and sulk about something that is probably very petty. Accept it!!! Brace with it.. haha…

Women like to show that they are very much the same as the other and show their weaknesses to their friends. Where men enjoy to talk with friends about their accomplishments and might even brag about some achievements, women are very careful with this. They are more likely to tell each other their most embarrassing moments (Gawd, you know who you are.. I shared tons of embarrassing moments in my life. Lol) or how they made a stupid mistake. Women friends cheer for each other, provide a strong shoulder to lean on in distress situations (To all my darlings out there, remember this ok), comfort you with soothing words when hurt and have unadulterated fun when it comes to spending quality time.

If you are too stressed out and need to share and vent out your feelings to someone, your best bet would be to call up your closest female friend and blurt out everything. You will be surprised to find how considerate your friend can be. Not only will she listen to you patiently but also offer advice that is actually practical. And that is not all. If your friend lives close by, she may even drop by to give you a hug!

Not all friends are the same. With different issues, you will probably go to different friends. Where one friend will give you a shoulder to cry on, the other will try to distract you from the issue by suggesting an activity.

There’s the Stimulator:

A Stimulator friend is someone who is always very Happy-Go-Lucky, an enthusiast! They are enthusiastic about what you are doing or planning to do, whether you want to excel in your career to become a beautician or open a cafe/boutique. This person will always say: “Go for it, babe!” and does not judge your plans or curious career changes at all. This person encourages, inspires and will give you a little extra push where needed, because this friend only sees opportunities ahead and a brighter future in you.

There’s the ‘Friend in Need’:

There are friends where they will offer to help you out. They will be one to offer to drive you around when your car is in the workshop, accompany you when you do not have company for lunch etc.. She organises, saves and takes care until you are no longer in need of anything.

There’s the ‘The Confidant’:
With this person you can discuss anything from your work to last night’s erotic dream, and most of all; you can discuss with this friend things that you would not discuss with your partner. This friend will laugh with you, cry with you, but would never judge you. She will listen to you, but never repeat to others what you told her.

There’s Fun Friend:
This friend knows how to have uncomplicated fun at any place at any time. She is not embarrassed to go from the slide in the playground, or to flirt with a bartender for a free drink in club. She is unruly, relaxed and celebrates life.

There’s ‘The Truth Teller’:
This is a friend who does not try to rise above you, but truly wants you to bring out the best of yourself because she sees that there’s so much you can do and outshine the rest. She will not only tell you when you are not dressed properly for your age, or that you really are drinking too much lately, but she will also tell you when you are wrong in an argument with your partner, or that you really are a little too harsh to your partner. You need to realize that this friend is only telling you the truth because she wants you to have a chance to change it and better yourself. She does not say these things from jealousy or revenge, but truly loves you.

There’s the ‘Surprising Friend’:
We normally mix around with people that have a similar background to our own; they are about the same age, have a similar level of education, employment, or come from a similar cultural background. But we can enlarge our world and our perspectives by opening up for other people as well. By having friends from different backgrounds, friends with different cultures or a friend that is twice or half your age, you can learn many things about each other.

Which part do you play? Do you have friends that met all of the above mentioned? hehe..

Female friends are fun to be with and if you find even one true female friend, consider yourself blessed. I am so blessed to have mine. Thank you!! *hugs*

As in a soul remembering my good friends."

Give your Best

It may be a smile, it may be a telephone call, it may be preparing a meal, it maybe watching a movie -- in everything, give your best. If you feel like your life is mediocre or if you are having a bad day, do things slower and deliberately. Try to realize the essence of what you are doing, of how important it is, even if it seems to be nothing at all. If you really think of the significance of what you do, you would know that the way you do it makes all the difference.

Have a Great Evening!

::Hong Kong Day 5::

IMG_6658Overall I found the whole experience worthwhile. That being said, I truly believe that to experience the culture of the location that you are visiting, then you have to GET OUT THERE and explore! By visiting local restaurants, and meandering around the locale you will so greatly enhance your vacation experience, and get a taste of the local culture that will form your memories of your trip.

So, how to go about making this cultural exploration simple? The first step is often your own hotel concierge or even the bell boy. hehe… Ask them where the locals eat. Where is a good place for lunch in the middle of town? Consulting your travel books can often times give you further options that are rated by those that have visited the places. Finding what type of local food you want, atmosphere, and in what part of town are all researched for you. Getting out and exploring is all that is left for you to do.

However, you have to be aware of safety concerns and the time of days that you venture out to certain locations. Again, your hotel concierge may advise you not to visit certain parts of the area at certain times of night. Simply ask the question so that you are forewarned.

IMG_6649I, for one, don't want to spend all the money to travel to a place and not get out and see the people and visit places that have formed my memories on the best trips that I've had.Where should my next destination be?

::Hong Kong Day 4::

We didn’t do much on Saturday.. More of shopping and eating!! The only highlight of the day is the Night Scenery of Hong Kong. Yes.. Am a bit too lazy to post individual pictures and comment about it... hahaa… Let the pictures do the talking.

::Hong Kong Day 3::

It was such a beautiful day!! The weather was just nice. Sunny & Windy… Perfecto! Went to Times Square again for more shopping.. hehe… Monique & Chung took us around Tsm Tsa Tsui.. Today, it’s all about FOOD!!! We went food frenzy instead of shopping. Check out the pictures, you will start to salivate! haha..

Times Square for more Shopping...

Lotus Flower

Times Square

Chung, Michelle & Monique

The famous biscuits called "Kai Tan Chai" If I'm not wrong, it's along Jordan Road?

There's no filling inside but something so simple yet so tasty

We took the train and got off at Mongkok Station. Took a pit stop at Ireland's Potato. Nothing to shout out for but for a quick bite it's okay...

Chung & Monique

They brought us to the local coffee shop that bakes their own bread. Reminds me of Babka on Brunswick St back in Melbourne. The scramble eggs is so gooood!! OMG..

Right after we head straight for the famous Pineapple Bun "Polo Bun". The word "Polo" in cantonese means pineapple (not what we normally call it "Wong Lai"). It's not literally pineapple bun because it's just a plain bun with a slice of butter. I'm taking a wild guess.. I think the crust on the bun has the pineapple design on it.

I'm so gonna put on weight with the rate that we are eating..

Straight right out from the oven

Ugh... Stuffed!! but.. this is something you have to try. Tau Foo Fah with brown caster sugar. Simply irresistible!

H&M!!! Why don't they have an outlet in M'sia? It was packed!! I didn't manage to get anything, Michelle bought a skirt.. After walking around for several hours, we took a bus to meet Aunty Alice for dinner.

Mini bus

Yuet Wah Wui Restaurant

According to Aunty Alice, this restaurant started off in a shack under a flyover and it's been around for more than 15 years. They are famous for seafood.

We ordered, Fried Japanese Tau Fu, Clams with Chinese Wine. Specialty Crabs, Bamboo Shoots aka "Chuk Soon" it's a kind of seafood, Pepper and Salt Grilled Crayfish and Vege.

Nicely quoted " Revive Economy Buy Clothes" I burst out laughing!! good one good one.. keke.

DEFINITELY A MUST GO even though you don't fancy dessert.
Honeydew Sago : So So

Mango Sago : Must try..damn good!

Durian in sticky rice roll : 2 thumbs up!!

We went to Ladies Street aka "Lui Yan Kai" to look around. Guess What? It's 10.30pm and the street is packed with ppl. Yeah... this is HK!!

Sesame Street!!! What's your favourite character? Mine is elmo and cookie monster!!

That's for today...
