::Hong Kong::Day 2::

Today was an eventful and fun day! Mark took me around HK "chung wan & sheung wan" for some local delicacy. Went to this place to have pork chop burger and pasta. Mmm.... superb!! Have you ever tried salty lemon sprite? It's awesome! We have to go through the market to get to the place.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usApparently, the grocery shop has been passed down to 3 generations. It existed for almost 80 years. It's undergoing a renovation due to some safety reasons. The picture below is the shack i was talking about. The food is SO tasty!!

After a taxing day of walking, hehe... beer is what we needed. Head over to 'Lan Kwai Fong' aka party central. It's known for the variety pubs, restaurants, clubs and shops that offer an unlimited choice to meet all demands and tastes. It was so packed last night because tomorrow is a public holiday. Cheers Peeps!! Happy Labour Day! glug glug glug... Burp.

::Hong Kong:: Day 1::

The flight was smooth (just a lil hiccups along the way), the stewards & stewardesses were friendly, a variety of movies and entertainment programs but the food sucks. I had spicy fish with a glass of white. I know I know... too early to drink.. hehe.. Thanks to William for lending me his Ipod, was listening to Trance Around The World and it's like a lullaby! I dozed off like a baby. Well, they said you get tipsy faster at high altitudes..Maybe?

Done with custom check & baggage reclaim.. I went to top-up my Octopus card, refer to the link and it'll briefly explains. What i love about it: It's so convenient and fast, just like 'Touch and GO'. Don't have to keep loose change... You can practically use it everywhere. Not in shopping malls and restaurants of course! Another tick on my checklist. Then, I took the airport express train to Hong Kong (central). It didn't take that long to reach the city, approximately 1/2 hour. Mandarin Oriental was so near the train station, just a few minutes walk.. Just that there are a few flight of stairs to climb, what a workout after landing!! Checked in the hotel and the room is elegantly decorated in a unique style with a tinge of Chinese Tradition. Simply beautiful!! Here are some pictures I took:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usAfter unpacking I went out to get dinner but couldn't find a single restaurant that opens at that hour. Took a few pictures of and went back to the hotel and ordered room service, 'Wanton Noodles'...

Gonna hit the bed soon. After meal syndrome is slowly kicking in 'sleepy'. Will log off soon. Okay peeps.. Sleep tight and sweet dreams. Will update about my outings tomorrow aights? P/S: I didn't manage to post this up last night! hahaha... I thought i clicked on 'Publish Post'! Well guess not. hehe.. Just woke up not too long ago, went to the cafe for breakfast , I had eggs benedict, not as yummy as the one in Melbourne (Babka Cafe on Brunswick street. Talking about Melbourne.. I miss Melbourne!!! okay... deviate too far. Back to HK. Sleep was so good!! Slept like a baby *grin*. Meeting a friend for lunch later at 1pm and we'll see where to explore. Till then, Take care and have a splendid day!!

..Life..

Life Reflection

As mentioned in the earlier post i have the tendency, when i try to write, often enough i do not know what i words to collect in constructing sentences. I visualize an incident or a memory and then words will just flow out. Today, fragments of images running in my head and i came to realise that we think that everything is fine and that anything bad in our lives will simply go away - that it’s just a matter of time. The biggest challenge lies in having the humility to respect someone else’s views.

And for this to happen, there must be continual growth, with room for dialogue and clear communication, room to share and to plan and to build an adult relationship. And where does this leave real life? It is far better to emerge from a situation slightly scalded, but still alive and ready to act.

Weird, I know... but that's how it works. Oftentimes I sit down to write a post and just ramble on until it's finished, and when I go back to read it and proof it (probably like an hour later) I'm thinking to myself, "What was i thinking?……… hmm…" Just to rant that’s all.

Here’s a little something:

Don't rely on someone else for your happiness and self worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can't love and respect yourself - no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are - completely; the good and the bad - and make changes as YOU see fit - not because you think someone else wants you to be different.

Have a Great Weekend!!

My Ear Candy

“Our Eyes” by Teddy Geiger

You seem so afraid, afraid you’ll regret
Regret getting closer and connected to me
And I feel like that too but I’m scared
Scared you’ll leave while you still feel you can

So I’ll just wait and see and see
Let our eyes say words we’ll leave unspoken

When we're trying to be careful
And words can be so confusing
When we're trying to be careful
But not too careful...

Fear, it has its place folded in squares
Squarely tucked in the back pocket of our minds
And yes, it’s reckless to act but pointless to decide
Just let your world collide with mine

Let’s not wait and see
Let our eyes say words we’ll leave unspoken
When we're trying to be careful
And words can be so confusing
When we're trying to be careful
But not too careful...

What's the average number of times people feel this way in a lifetime?
Let's not waste more time
Let our eyes say words we’ll leave unspoken
When we're trying to be careful
And words can be so confusing
When we're trying to be careful
But not too careful...

Have a great evening peeps!! The flu bug is back again… I just caught it. Please take good care and drink plenty of water, aights?

::Again::

Hands over my head, thinking "What else could go wrong?"
Would've stayed in bed, how can the day be so long?

*Never believed that things happen for a reason
But how this turned out, removed all my doubts
So believe, that for you I'd do it all over again
Do it all over again
All I went through, led me to you
So do it all over again, for you

I missed the first train, stood out in the rain, all day
But little did I know, when I caught the next train
There you were to sweep me away
Guess that's what I waited for

Oh, who ever thought a day gone so wrong
Would turn out so lovely?
I'm so glad I found you
Even though the day went so wrong
I wouldn't change a thing
Oh I'd do it, I'd do it all over again
Do it all over again

All I went through, led me to you
So do it all over again (I'd do it all over again)
I'd do it all over, I'd do it all over
I'd do it all over, for you, for you
All I went through, led me to you
So do it all over again
Who ever thought a day gone so wrong
Would turn out so lovely?
Who ever thought a day gone so wrong
Could turn out so lovely?
